Do these codecs (or the previous codecs) play Windows Media Voice audio?

  2. Noneus Says:

    Is there multithread support?

  3. dolphy Says:

Yes the new Windows Media audio codec supports Speech/Voice from Microsoft.

Regarding Multithread support I think H.264 decoder can support it but it’s not enabled yet. We are looking into enabling that in the next update.

  4. Noneus Says:

So I hope the update comes soon.

When will the bugtracker will have h264 component? I allready have a bug. (Can’t play anything because libmcaacadec.so.7.2.0.21988 and libmch264dec.so.7.4.0.20778 are 32Bit allthough I downloaded 64Bit)

If i’ve previusly bought the windows media playback bundle and i can still access it. Is it the new or old?

    Version numbers please ;)

  6. dolphy Says:

Frej: the file you can download has a filename containing -3 if that’s the new version.

Noneus: I will create the tracker components right away and investigate the .so files you mentioned.

So, will Fluendo be the first company to offer an actually usable way to watch Bluray movies on Linux? I recently asked the same from Cyberlink and they were like “huh? 64-bit? Linux? What are those?” :-(

Nice to have improved plugins. They are also not that expensive. However, strangest thing is that you still a) don’t have a visible link/logo for your webshop from main page and b) your webshop design is kinda let down, knowing that you can better. I just start to wonder - is this intentional? :) Maybe you have some patent scammers to hide from?

Anyway, good work with providing nice, commercial solution for playing prioritary codecs on Gstreamer.

troll: we are still working on finalizing the standard DVD player. Blue ray is next on our list. we are trying to hire a resource that has very good experience in DVD read technology.

Peteris: well it’s just that we don’t have much time and resources currently focused on redesigning the web shop. We are hiring a resource for that to rewrite it and integrate it with the soon to come new version of Fluendo Codec Manager

As always, a technically impressive but proprietary alternative to ffmpeg.

  11. Anonymous Says:

(To clarify that: yes, I know about the patent license problem, but why not simply use ffmpeg and pay for the protection racket, if in a situation where you have to care?)
