WEBM/VP8 support in Moovida 2.0.0.10
Yay, thanks to the great work from Sebastian Dröge I have been able to integrate support for VP8 in OGG/QT/AVI/MKV and finally WEBM files into Moovida 2.0.0.10.
We already have a working OGG/VP8/Vorbis live stream with Flumotion streaming server and it works in Moovida, I am impatient to see the streaming happen with WEBM through the HTML5 tags.
That was a serious “course contre la montre” but we are definitely one of the first (maybe “the” first) mass market available media player to play that content format.
Go Moovida !

It’s already supported in Totem (which is probably more widely used than Moovida) but I didn’t do a Press Release for a 2 line patch…

Did you add Matroska support to taglib-sharp?

@Bastien: no offense intended dude. I just meant that it’s available to end users. Linux users will have to wait for a GStreamer, Totem, Gnome release before they can get a hold of it. Luckily for Moovida on Windows it’s easier as we ship it all.
@Gabriel: nope, for now we added webm in the whitelist extension, we should start looking into extending taglib for video files at some point.
